Camp Brigadoon Village is a wonderful asset in Nova Scotia. According to their website, the camp is designed for people, and particularly children and youth, with chronic illnesses – IBD, Cancer, Juvenile Arthritus and the list goes on.
Their first actual camp was in 2011 and called Camp Guts & Glory for campers with Crohn’s and Colitis. An astounding 38 campers showed up, according to their website.
As of May 2019 the non-profit is preparing a list of camps for campers who, for example, are blind or visually impaired, have a hearing deficit, suffer from Epilepsy, heart conditions, Juvenile Arthritis, Asthma, Kidney disease, Celiac Disease, Cancer or live with Crohn’s, Colitis, an Ostomy or Cecostomy. Sarah donates proceeds to a Camp Brigadoon fund which helps families who need it.

At the Social Market Sarah takes advantage of an Avon promotion to raise funds for Brigadoon’s “It Takes A Village” program.
The full cost of one camper at one camp is $1300.
